About Althentic

We make one thing properly

althentic makes extendable sofas. Not lamps, not rugs, not a catalogue of a thousand things. Sofas that look like a sofa and open into a bed in seconds, without the lumpy frame and the metal bar across your back.

Made to order, on purpose

Every sofa we sell is built after someone orders it. It takes 4 to 5 weeks, and we could shorten that by mass producing a few colours and shipping whatever is in the pile. We would rather you got the colour and size you actually wanted.

It also means we are not sitting on stock we need to clear, so we never have to pressure anyone into a sale.

We tell you the truth about timing

A lot of furniture sites promise next day dispatch and then go quiet for a month. We would rather say 4 to 5 weeks on the product page, email you at every stage, and keep our word.

If something slips, a workshop holiday or a carrier delay, we email you before you have to ask, and we tell you what actually happened.

Talk to us

contact@althentic.com reaches a real person, and we answer every email within one business day. Ask about measurements, colours, delivery, anything. We would rather answer ten questions before you order than deal with one disappointment after.
